Developing a Comprehensive Solicitation Program Beginning with developing the case, this module covers the steps involved in planning and implementing a solicitation program encompassing a variety of fundraising programs, from annual through major-gift and planned giving.

ArtSupport Manitoba is a program that brings together the private sector with arts and cultural organizations to increase donations to arts and culture.

Presenter: Pamela Simmons
Pamela Simmons, APR, CFRE is consultant/owner of coreNICHE Consulting in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In her 35+ year’s experience, she has worked with more than 50 organizations and agencies in Manitoba, across Canada and the Middle East. Her background is diverse and energy high. She has held senior positions in as an Executive Director and senior department head in fund development, volunteer management, and public relations, often fulfilling all three positions at one time. While living in the Middle East was the Executive Coordinator for a member of the Saudi Royal family. In Abu Dhabi, she was Executive Director of the Canadian Business Council of Abu Dhabi and then established CoreNICHE Consulting in 2008 where she consulted with many of the business groups to coordinate their annual business forum. In the arts sector, Pamela created the successful Abu Dhabi Classic Run – Beat Beethoven, an event to encourage Emirati interest in classic music.

Since Pamela’s return from the Middle East, she has held senior positions at the Winnipeg Art Gallery (Director of Development, Capital Campaign Director) and established a consultancy. She has acted as interim Capital Campaign Director for Brandon University’s $30M BUILD Campaign and conducted two planning studies for KCI Philanthropy. Pamela is also a consultant and mentor for the ArtSupport Mentoring Program working with arts organizations such as the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Camerata Nova, Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, Prairie Fire, Manitoba Craft Council, Manitoba Craft Museum & Library. As well, she is the sponsorship advisor for APTN’s Aboriginal Day Live 2016, 2017.
